Fortis Consulting | Los Angeles, CA

  • Designed an ultra-low power embedded system which would display the temperature within a cryogenic dewar using a USB thermocouple

Jet Propulsion Laboratory | Pasadena, CA

  • Completed schematic capture and PCB design for a High Voltage (100V) motherboard for limb axis control on the RoboSimian platform using an ELMO industrial brushless motor driver
  • Designed supporting circuitry to work with various types of encoders
  • Wrote firmware updates for sensor drivers and the system checkout test bench

Golfstream | Los Angeles, CA

  • Defined and executed scopes of work
  • Collaborated to design augmented reality hydraulic actuated golfing simulator suite, with design, assembly and testing
  • Managed and reduced the cost factors for suite hardware while working on venue logistics and planning for suite deployment at each venue
  • Lead a team of technicians to assemble and disassemble the suite at different venues
  • Modified the actuator control circuitry for changing the topology of the golfing green

Airware | San Francisco, CA

  • Fixed poor GPS performance problems due to EMI for unmanned aerial vehicles
  • Designed and manufactured mechanical fixtures for automated PCB testing
  • Designed a PCB for a commercial module and prepared a manufacturing packages for full turn-key PCB manufacturing

Caltech | Pasadena, CA

  • Constructed high frequency (5 GHz) inductors for magnetic field gradient generation and magnetic manipulation of nano-scale iron beads
  • Designed and tested a 3A, 8 channel, isolated bi-directional programmable current source and high power drivers for thermoelectric coolers with temperature feedback

    Caltech Robotics

    • Lead the electronics division for the development of an autonomous underwater robotic vehicle for AUVSI’s International RoboSub Competition (Placed 1st internationally in 2016 competition)
    • Designed, simulated and built hydrophone array circuitry to locate an underwater pinger at 40kHz
    • Worked on circuit isolation, sensor circuitry, and high current (40A) power circuitry
    • Architected a safety critical CAN system for communication across modules

    Caltech FSAE

    • Designed a modular CAN system to support all external sensors and devices for a Formula E electric race vehicle (DAC, ADC, TFT displays, wireless radios, dataloggers, accelerator, motor controllers, etc.)

    Voice Over IP (VoIP) Phone

    • Designed and tested an embedded VoIP phone using an Atmel ARM AT91RM9200, with external SRAM, external ROM, DRAM, Ethernet PHY, audio codec and a CPLD
